The final picture to the Neowise series, titled ‘This House is on Fire’. Louisiana is HOT during the months of June, July, and August. I do most of my grass cutting and yard work after 6:30pm. On this particular day, I was still out side around 9pm doing yard work. We tore down a very large rotten deck that was over the pond and hauled it to the back portion of our property in 3 pieces using a tractor. I decided it would be a good night to burn it, along with some other sticks and things from the yard clean-up. I lit the fire, the kids came out to play, and that’s when dad(me, I’m Dad 👋🏼) got the camera out and started attempting my shots at NEOWISE. The kids got tired of fighting mosquitos and went in for the night but the sky was just so pretty. After snapping a few shots to the ENE, I headed across the barbed wire fence to capture the Milky Way (shown yesterday). When coming back across, this was my view. The large fire behind our house had the place lit up! The glaring reflection mixed with a few lights on the inside, made the house appear to be on fire!!! It was totally worth the shot. !
